New Hyde Park resident Eddie
Mistretta has been a fixture racing in the Northeast for quite
sometime. He traveled all over the New England states to race
weekly. In this interview with Eddie, he gives the lowdown of why he
is known as "Crazy" Eddie! With years of knowledge of racing at
different tracks to racing at Riverhead Raceway, he has seen a lot,
from racing Street Stocks to Figure 8's to Blunderbust! Eddie talks
about going to the track when he was little to who influenced him to
being good friends with the Ferrante family. He may be known as
"Crazy" Eddie Mistretta, but the manner he conducts himself in this
interview may prove that wrong!
THE PITBULL: DOUBLE ZERO RACING The Pitbull this week features
Double Zero Racing. Drivers Tom Ferrara and Tom Graff, are teammates
in the Figure 8 division at Riverhead Raceway. Both drivers bring
different styles to the table, in these two interviews hear what
each driver prefers and how do they relate to working as a team.
Tom Ferrara and Tom Graff each bring different aspects to the table,
from years of racing with a rich family background to a driver who
cut his teeth in with a new team. Both drivers are unique from each
other as can be seen on The Pitbull.
THE PITBULL: DONNY LIA Fresh off his Craftsman Truck Series win, rookie Donny Lia sits down with Peter Milano. In this interview Donny goes over his championship for the Whelen Modified Tour in 2007 to his transition to the Craftsman Truck Series. From racing for Bob Garbarino and bring home the title in WMT to racing for TRG Racing. Donny goes into detail about his Mansfield, Ohio win, racing with Davis Starr and Todd Bodine. Donny also talks about former SSCA driver Andy Lally and now his current teammate at TRG Racing. |

THE PITBULL: CHRIS BUSICK After taking a hiatus away from racing Chris Busick is back behind the wheel of a race car. In this interview we talk about his achievements. We also talk about his comeback to racing and why he is back behind the wheel. Busick doesn't hold much back and even enjoys a little humor as friend Mike Coll joins in, but not on camera! Also Chris Busick helps me look for an official weather girl!!! Chris also talks about his future in racing and what lies ahead for him, will he continue racing? THE PITBULL: TOM ROGERS JR. In Tom Rogers Jr. brief racing career at Riverhead he holds many titles that over shadow even the greatest of drivers at Riverhead Raceway. Tom Rogers Jr. career holds titles in the Figure 8 division and also the Modified division. This year he sets his sight on a new class, The Late Models. Rogers Jr. is a real hands on racer, his knowledge of on the track racing parlays into his off the track mechanics. In this interview Tom Rogers Jr. talks about his upstart in go-karts, from his childhood friends he used to race with, to racing with them weekly at Riverhead Raceway. Rogers' goes into racing in the Figure 8 division and getting to race some of the best drivers in division. From Figure 8's to his upstart in the Modified class to racing SKs in North Carolina. Just reaching the peak in racing before turning 30 years old, we go in his brief racing career and his future goals. |

CHRIS TURBUSH THE PITBULL This weeks The Pitbull features Charger hot shoe Chris Turbush. In this one on one interview with the third generation driver we disgust the history of his family and living up to the family heritage at Riverhead Raceway. From the upstart of growing up at the track to being behind the wheel, Chris doesn't hold back. This interview was recorded 5/3/08 during the afternoon, Bubs later that evening took down the win on opening night. The following week he scored his second victory of 2008. The first victory he dedicated the win to his father who was resting in the hospital. Chris goes in depth about how important his father means to him from friend to mentor to loving dad. This installment of The Pitbull also features mistakes made in the past and rising above it! Follow along as Chris also talks about his fellow competitors, his team and future in racing.
