April 29, Stafford Motor Speedway hosted the 41st annual Spring Sizzler. For the second Whelen Modified event in a row, Ryan Preece would once again not just take the pole, but also set track records for fastest time!!! Nascar K & N East Series driver and young stand out, Corey LaJoie, who would see himself start outside pole. Doug Coby charged through the field ending up once again in Victory lane at a Spring Sizzler, marking his second visit at this prestigious event.

THE PITBULL: ICEBREAKER 150
The Pit bull April 16 ,2012

April 15, Thompson International Speedway, hosted The Icebreaker 150. The first event of the  Nascar Whelen Modified Tour. Ryan Preece in the Flamingo Moorsports team set a Qualifying record in his first event out with this team. Justin Bonsignore, M3 Technology Motorsports would barely miss taking the pole, he would start 2nd. Bobby Santos in a last ditch effort to gain a ride for The Icebreaker found himself in The Tinio Motorsports seat and qualified 3rd. The Pitbull had a few moments with each driver before the event, follow each driver as their day progressed. Three young talented drivers who can be a threat for a win at any race track!

Let the season begin! Tee-shirt weather in March, 1st go-kart race with EEKR took place with some exciting racing out of the box! 11 Divisions took to the track, with a lot of new faces joining the club for 2012. Junior Champ Kart saw a rise in numbers, a former division that had a lot of great talent move to Saturday night racing the last few years. It's good to see this division return to it's former glory with a health field of karts, it brought some exciting racing over the years. Move of the day, had Kendall Grennan seizing opportunity for 2nd spot with a lap car on the front stretch, to see the highlights, click the below...

Driver's meeting: 10:00 am....March 11,2012:

"How many Sr. Champ Kart Drivers are here?" It all started with a simple question, next question was too see how many Over 35 Drivers were present and what followed next was....."WHO WANTS TO RACE!!!" 3:30 PM, $100 on the line, all Sr. Champ Karts didn't wait to EEKR race #1 to flex some muscle. Of course this was a non-points race, but put a driver behind anything competitive.....exactly!

The Trinca Family and The EEKR Family have lost two very special people in our lives, from a car accident. Keri Trinca, mother of three children. Jason Trinca son of Keri and Jay Trinca. Jason raced in the Jr. I class and Jr. Sportsman Champ I. Jason won Kid Champ Kart Series Title last season. Keri and Jason, you are both missed. God's Angels have carried to the gates of Heaven. Please pray for Big Jay, husband and father of both, his two other children Marialene "Freshie" and Christopher Trinca also in your prayers as they continue to fight on in life.
